Starve
He questions where the fire in his chest has gone while he simultaneously smothers it with wet wood.
That fire in your chest, your ambition, ardor and aspirations, is directly related to your ‘appetite’.
When full, the human becomes lethargic, sufficed with its current state and position it stagnates.
Having lived for years in such a state, the unconscious grows weary and cries out for movement.
Such an experience is felt as depression, a deep loathing of the self and its present form.
But I pray you never know such a felling, a feeling I was too well acquainted with.
So how can we reignite our fire and bring that burning passion back to the surface? Get dry wood.
To get to out of such a stagnation you need the fire of your emotions to push you to run.
You need to starve yourself of your gluttonous consumption, you need to get hungry.
You need to feel fully the pain of your present state, repressing only steals your desire to fix the pain.
No more consuming the modern cheap calories available to fill your desires.
Video games are NOT conquest, P*rn/OF is NOT intimacy, Fast food is NOT nutrients, Social media is NOT community.
These cheap replacements are designed not to fill you, but to keep you addicted, to keep you a consumer.
Instead of keeping the desire surfeit with cheap replacements, starve them, let them swell up.
Only once they are starved will they become fiery enough to combat your sloth.
Only when hungry will we hunt.
And so, if you want to hunt, if you want conquest, if you want fiery passion... you must first starve.
